About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Music Therapist to join our team at Mozaic Senior Life. As a Music Therapist, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents through the power of music.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and lead group activities and one-to-one sessions to promote sensory motor, cognitive, and psychosocial skills in our residents.
  • Document resident assessments, progress notes, attendance records, and discharge summaries in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Input MDS/care plan data and participate in RCP meetings to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Transport residents to and from activity areas, prepare activity spaces, and maintain inventory of equipment and supplies.
  • Drive company vehicles for outings and attend staff meetings to stay informed and engaged.
  • Exhibit leadership qualities, mentor residents, and engage them in recreation programs, while also mentoring music therapy interns.
  • Demonstrate the ability to facilitate group processes and manage interpersonal needs of residents.
  • Assess and document resident needs and progress, and participate in resident community outings to ensure safety.
  • Maintain necessary credentials to provide music therapy services to residents.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy
  • No experience necessary, but a valid driver's license is required
  • Ability to handle multiple demands and deadlines, read and communicate effectively, and utilize various software packages
