About the Role

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is seeking a highly skilled Lactation Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare system, you will play a vital role in providing expert breastfeeding support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide in- and out-patient breastfeeding support and education to patients and their families.
  • Develop and implement individualized teaching plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive breastfeeding support.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in lactation consulting.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
  • Two to five years of nursing experience, preferably in obstetrical nursing.
  • One to two years of experience as a lactation consultant.
  • International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification.
