Key Responsibilities- Deliver exceptional patient care by collecting data, identifying deviations from normal, and assisting with reassessments as needed.
- Accurately document patient findings and communicate effectively with healthcare team members.
- Implement nursing care interventions in collaboration with other healthcare providers, adhering to accepted standards of practice.
- Conduct bedside laboratory tests, wound care, and provide comfort and assistance with ADLs.
- Promote patient coping, adaptation, and problem-solving skills related to illness and stressors.
- Provide supportive communication and culturally sensitive interventions, documenting special needs.
- Ensure safe medication delivery, following facility policies and physician orders.
- Follow up on patient care responsibilities, communicating with other disciplines to ensure continuity of care.
- Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse in the state of employment.
- High School Diploma or GED required; one year of inpatient hospital experience preferred.
- Ability to work in high-stress environments, assess potential patient escalation, and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Self-confidence, critical thinking, and ability to lead and direct others.
