We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Planned Giving Officer to join our team at the Wounded Warrior Project. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting planned gifts from individuals who are passionate about our mission to support wounded warriors and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Drive Planned Giving Growth: Develop and implement strategies to grow our planned giving program, including identifying new prospects and stewarding existing donors.
- Articulate Our Mission: Effectively communicate the Wounded Warrior Project's history, mission, vision, and programs to potential funding sources, highlighting the impact of our work on wounded warriors and their families.
- Build Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with donors, community leaders, and other stakeholders to advance our planned giving goals.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Communications, Marketing, and Programs, to ensure a cohesive and effective fundraising strategy.
- Provide Data-Driven Insights: Analyze data and provide regular reports on planned giving progress, identifying trends and opportunities for growth.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in fundraising, sales, or a related field, with a proven track record of success in planned giving or major gifts.
- Skills: Strong business acumen, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with donors, attorneys, financial planners, and accountants.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, or a related field.
