Company Overview:
Body Fit Plus Inc is seeking a dedicated professional for a role in a correctional environment.

Position:
Recreational Therapist

Location:
Correctional Facility in Lancaster, California

Compensation:
Pay Rate: $61 to $67 Per Hour + Quarterly Bonus

Employment Type:
Full-Time Contract (6 to 9 months, with potential for extension)

Qualifications:
- A minimum of twelve (12) months of direct patient care experience within the last three (3) years in a public or private institution.
- Current clinical competencies.
- Valid Photo ID (Driver's License or Passport required).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an accredited organization.
- Valid NATIONAL or CA Recreational Therapist Certificate.

Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate any changes in patients' conditions to the Director of Recreational Therapy and the interdisciplinary treatment team.
- Provide valuable feedback to the treatment team regarding patient responses to therapy and treatment interventions.
- Conduct assessments in psychosocial, leisure, and recreation skills development.
- Ensure timely documentation of therapeutic interventions aligned with the patient's care plan.
- Teach patients coping strategies and stress management techniques to promote a balanced lifestyle.
- Utilize advanced counseling knowledge to determine appropriate therapeutic services for patients with psychiatric, traumatic, and substance dependency issues.
- Demonstrate understanding of group dynamics and the principles of group therapy.
