Job Summary

The Senior BSA/AML Investigator is a critical member of our team, responsible for detecting and preventing illicit activity, including money laundering and terrorist financing. This role requires a strong analytical mind, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transaction Monitoring: Identify and investigate suspicious activity from various BSA alerts, reports, systems, and processes.
  • Case Management: Collaborate with other departments to research and resolve suspicious activity, and develop and maintain detailed documentation of investigations within the Verafin case.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to Bank Secrecy Act regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of all systems, including Verafin.
  • Team Support: Serve as a subject matter expert, provide training and guidance to junior investigators, and assist with quality reviews and case disposition.
  • Senior Level Support: Assist with regulator Money Laundering Report (MLR), perform enhanced due diligence of high-risk customers and products, and troubleshoot data processing issues with Verafin.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or 5+ years related financial industry experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in BSA and/or Fraud analytics, with experience using a BSA/AML and Fraud Detection System preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal skills, strong computer skills, ability to multi-task, and strong time management and organizational skills.
