Building Automation Systems Technician

CORG Management Group is seeking a highly skilled BAS Controls Specialist to join our team in Columbia, SC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, programming, and maintaining direct digital controls (DDC) and associated devices.
Key Responsibilities- Installation and Maintenance: Install, program, and maintain DDC systems, including repair and troubleshooting.
- Energy Efficiency: Modify DDC programming to streamline sub-routines and enhance energy savings.
- Compliance and Quality: Ensure compliance with energy conservation, temperature, and building environmental policies.
- Integration and Monitoring: Integrate multiple DDC control systems, including Proprietary, BACNET, LONWORKS, MODBUS, and TCP/IP.
- System Analysis and Troubleshooting: Monitor DDC points, troubleshoot and analyze HVAC and process control systems, and address issues during service visits and repair as needed.
- Customer Service: Provide exemplary service to BAS service clients, respond to emergency service calls in a timely manner, and assist with startup, commission, and re-commission of customer systems.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate As-Built drawing packages, complete paperwork on time, including timesheets, expense reports, and project status reports.
- Education and Certifications: AA/AS degree, Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma, Skilled Trades Apprenticeship, or other post-high school training with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of control logic, experience troubleshooting DDC systems, low voltage control systems, and computer networks, thorough knowledge of wired and wireless IP technology.
- Soft Skills: Personable, service-oriented, and willing to work directly with customers' on-site staff, capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment in excess of 8 feet above grade and lifting items up to 50lbs.
- DDC Control Theory and Applications: Knowledge in DDC control theory and applications pertaining to the HVAC/Control.
- HVAC/R Equipment and Controls: Knowledge of the operation, repairs, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) equipment and associated controls.
- Microsoft Office and Networking: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Windows, System Networking (Routers, Switches, Cabling, Configuration, VPN, FTP), Visio.
$70,000-$85,000 salary, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
