Our esteemed client, The Symicor Group, is in search of a Commercial Lending Specialist to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the meticulous preparation and accuracy of commercial loan documentation.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be tasked with:
- Processing commercial loan applications for both new and renewal loans, adhering to established protocols and utilizing specialized software.
- Conducting an initial assessment of loan approvals, leveraging available data from the loan processing system and credit files, while gathering necessary information for underwriting and preparing closing documents.
- Drafting essential loan documentation, including Promissory Notes, Business Loan Agreements, Construction Loan Agreements, and Disbursement Requests, based on information derived from loan applications and profiles.
- Verifying loan approval authority in accordance with company policy and gaining a comprehensive understanding of the loan transaction from the Loan Profile.
- Ensuring that initial underwriting documentation is complete as per the approval requirements.
- Reviewing credit files to identify additional documentation needed to meet underwriting standards, such as entity papers, credit reports, purchase contracts, and insurance documentation.
- Coordinating with approved vendors to obtain supporting documentation and collaborating with loan officers or clients as necessary.
- Managing renewal loan processing, which includes entering loan data into the software and collaborating with servicing loan officers to facilitate the closing process.
- Communicating any documentation review outcomes and processing challenges to loan officers promptly.
- Balancing transactions and preparing general ledger tickets and cashier's checks for disbursement.
- Preparing wire forms and authorizing wire transfers for loan proceeds.
- Handling post-closing loan file processing, including the preparation and delivery of closing instructions and packets to title companies when required.
- Assisting with additional loan operations tasks as needed.
Candidate Profile

Essential Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; a two-year degree or higher is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of experience in commercial loan documentation and processing.
- Familiarity with the necessary documentation for commercial term loans and lines of credit, along with associated collateral documentation.
- Ability to prioritize tasks on complex loan transactions to meet closing deadlines.
- Knowledge of compliance requirements for commercial borrowers.
- Understanding of relevant state and federal lending regulations and company lending policies.
- Exceptional data entry accuracy and proficiency with various PC applications, including LaserPro, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong multitasking, time management, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- High level of confidentiality and the ability to work under pressure with frequent interruptions.
