Job Summary

As a Meat Cutter at Tom Thumb, you will be responsible for preparing and displaying meat products in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meat Preparation: Prepare meat in salable sizes and condition for wrapping and eventual display and sale to customers.
  • Meat Cutting and Trimming: Cut, trim, chop, grind, and otherwise prepare meats and place on trays.
  • Meat Processing: Operate saws, grinders, and other meat processing machinery to prepare meat products.
  • Meat Inspection: Inspect meat products for quality and freshness, and remove any expired or spoiled products.
  • Display and Sales: Inspect displayed products for expired dates and remove when necessary, and ensure that meat products are displayed in a clean and attractive manner.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
