Key Responsibilities- Assist Therapists: Work under the direct supervision of licensed physical or occupational therapists to provide therapeutic modality treatments as assigned.
- Prepare Therapy Areas: Ensure therapy areas are clean, operable, and safe for patients.
- Patient Transportation: Transport patients to and from therapy sessions using wheelchairs and stretchers.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain all equipment to ensure it is clean, operable, and safe for use.
- Isolation Techniques: Perform isolation techniques as outlined in Infection Control policy.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Some college coursework in healthcare sciences or 5 years of relevant experience.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.
The physical demands of this role include frequently exerting 10 to 20 pounds of force to move objects and occasionally exerting up to 100 pounds of force. The incumbent works in a patient care area and may be exposed to hazardous medications or hazardous waste.
