Job Overview

PeopleReady is seeking dedicated Early Childhood Education Assistants to support our Playgroup program. This role involves collaborating with the Playgroup Lead Teacher to ensure a nurturing and developmentally appropriate environment for children aged 0 to 5 years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in facilitating engaging classroom activities that promote academic and personal growth.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans tailored to individual and group learning needs.
  • Establish and maintain safety protocols within the classroom and outdoor play areas.
  • Conduct regular assessments to identify children's developmental needs and communicate findings with parents or guardians.
  • Promote good hygiene practices among children and guide them in maintaining a clean and organized personal space.
  • Support the Lead Teacher in preparing materials and setting up learning environments.
  • Participate in parent-teacher conferences and maintain ongoing communication with families regarding their child's progress.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the classroom and play areas, including daily sanitization of toys and equipment.

Shift Information:

This position primarily involves day shifts, with flexibility required to accommodate varying schedules.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a positive attitude and a willingness to learn in a dynamic environment.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification is required; training will be provided if necessary.
  • Successful completion of background checks and reference verifications is mandatory.
  • This role requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
