As a Kitchen Operations Assistant, your primary duties will involve maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen environment. This includes, but is not limited to, the thorough cleaning of kitchen tools such as pots, pans, trays, and utensils. You will also be responsible for managing waste disposal, setting up dining areas, replenishing ice supplies, and organizing stock deliveries, along with any additional tasks assigned by supervisors or culinary staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Regularly monitor and dispose of waste materials.
- Support chefs with designated kitchen tasks.
- Ensure proper cleaning, storage, and upkeep of all kitchen equipment.
- Manage the dishwashing area, including setup, maintenance, and breakdown of dishwashing machines, returning all items to their designated storage.
- Conduct weekly maintenance on kitchen appliances and ensure cleanliness of floors for safety.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to address challenges and seize opportunities.
- Actively participate as a team player, sharing knowledge and expertise across departments.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma is preferred.
Essential Skills
- Strong communication abilities.
- Capacity to follow directives and set a positive example.
This role requires physical stamina, including frequent standing and walking.
