Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Substance Use Counselor to join our team at one of our locations in Rhode Island. As a Substance Use Counselor, you will work closely with patients to develop and implement personalized treatment plans, providing guidance and support throughout the recovery process.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct patient screenings, intakes, and assessments to identify treatment needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including counseling and case management
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on addiction and recovery
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. psychology, social work, counseling)
- 1-2 years of experience in addiction treatment or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
