Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Specialist to join our team. As an Inventory Specialist, you will play a critical role in coordinating the purchase and control of supplies and equipment, ensuring timely delivery of necessary products and maintaining accurate inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and purchase materials, supplies, and equipment in a cost-effective manner, completing necessary purchasing documentation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of assets and supplies, forecasting inventory needs and prioritizing purchase requests.
  • May be responsible for patient charge capture for dispensed medical supplies to ensure accurate patient billing.
  • May maintain product information and warranty files.

Technical Capabilities:

  • Data Entry (Intermediate): The ability to transcribe information from the original source into an electronic system according to written and verbal instructions efficiently and accurately.
  • Cost Allocation (Intermediate): Analyzing and recording costs to the appropriate accounts.
  • Purchasing (Fundamental Awareness): Understanding the concepts behind supplier relations and supply chain management, handling supplier-related activities, requests for pricing, and purchases of goods and services while ensuring appropriate costs, schedules, quality, deliveries, terms, and conditions.
  • Inventory Management (Intermediate): Monitoring material movement into and out of stock, reconciling inventory balances, and maintaining adequate inventory levels.
