Newborn Hearing Screen Technician Job Description

As a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician with Pediatrix Medical Group, you will play a vital role in the early detection of hearing loss in newborns. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct hearing screens in hospital settings, providing a critical service to families and newborns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct newborn hearing screens in hospital settings
  • Provide education to parents about the importance of hearing screens
  • Enter patient data and validate hearing screen results
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed, including equipment maintenance and training new staff

Requirements:

  • Experience working with infants preferred
  • Experience in a hospital setting preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer proficiency and ability to perform accurate data entry
  • Ability to prioritize daily tasks and assignments
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required
