Director of Data Science at GoHealth

GoHealth, a leading health insurance marketplace and Medicare-focused digital health company, is seeking a Director of Data Science to join its Data Science Strategy and Insights team. The Director will lead a team of data scientists and analysts to create strategic reporting, business insights, and predictive models to support the finance, operations, sales, and accounting departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and empower a team of data professionals to partner with business stakeholders and provide actionable performance insights.
  • Manage a team of data scientists and analysts servicing all areas of the business, including finance, operations, sales, and accounting.
  • Accountable for generating and distributing strategic reports, and developing customer and revenue predictive models.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to manage project goals and expectations for business analytics initiatives.
  • Oversee the analysis of customer lifetime value and drivers of attrition to improve customer retention and business growth.
  • Establish requirements for data and software engineering teams to build systems to productionalize models and data flows.
  • Demonstrate staying current in academic research in statistical modeling, data science, and analytics.
  • Partner with engineering, product, and data science teams to deliver best-in-class business analytics solutions.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience with tools for data exploration and business intelligence, such as AWS, SQL, Python, R, and Tableau. Preferred experience with Python and SQL.
  • 5+ years managing a team and leading projects.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Knowledge of data management and BI strategies, principles, and practices.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field.
