Position Overview
Goodall Brazier is in search of a Lead/Senior Superintendent for a distinguished general contractor.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years managing projects independently from inception to completion. Experience in commercial construction and high-end finishes, particularly within the hospitality and winery sectors, is highly desirable.
Your primary responsibility will be overseeing all on-site operations and ensuring project safety, while collaborating closely with the Project Management team to maintain adherence to the established schedule and budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and organize the sequence of tasks and determine the necessary resources to uphold an effective schedule.
- Engage in the selection process for subcontractors through interviews.
- Create and execute a comprehensive site logistics strategy.
- Oversee construction operations, including shutdowns, testing, and inspections.
- Facilitate the coordination of equipment usage and upkeep.
- Manage relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and, when required, the client.
- Formulate project safety plans and specific safety initiatives tailored to the project.
- Contribute to the project's budget management and cost control strategies.
- Assist in the initiation and completion phases of the project.
- Ensure quality assurance through inspections and managing punch list items.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to direct reports.
Compensation Package:
- Base Salary: $170K - $200K based on experience
- Bonus Structure: Year-end bonus based on company performance and project completion
