Summit Medical Group is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Summit Diagnostic Center at Fountain City.

Job Summary

We are looking for a registered CT Technologist to work PRN. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computed tomography and excellent patient care skills.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for CT procedures, using standard precautions to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Provide pertinent information to radiologists, contributing to the plan of care and ensuring accurate diagnoses.
  • Discuss the CT procedure with patients, obtain their consent, and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Obtain high-quality CT scans, using appropriate measurements, windows, and special functions for interpretation by radiologists.
  • Monitor intravenous contrast injections, starting IVs and using the CT injector with proficiency.
  • Provide radiation protection to patients, adhering to state and federal regulations.
  • Make sound decisions based on judgment, resolving technical or patient-related problems within scope.
  • Assist in quality control of equipment, contacting appropriate personnel and notifying supervisors as needed.
  • Maintain daily logs, compile monthly statistical data, and assist with documentation and reporting.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and order of the CT department and equipment, using proper cleaning techniques and disposing of contaminated needles properly.
  • Maintain item stock and order supplies as needed.
  • Exhibit a courteous and cooperative manner to all coworkers, management, and the public.
  • Demonstrate current competencies related to the job position, maintaining current CPR certification, CME requirements, and technical certification.
  • Adhere to all aspects of the company's Corporate Compliance Program.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Perform related tasks as requested by supervisors.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology, Radiation Therapy, or Nuclear Medicine.
  • Currently registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography and Computed Tomography, with credentials R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT).
  • Active TN State X-Ray license required; experience preferred, but registry eligible candidates will also be considered.
  • Current BLS certification.
