About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Advocate to join our team at First Place for Youth. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting transition age foster youth in achieving their goals and building a successful future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized case management and psycho-social assessments to identify strengths and areas of need for each youth.
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies to support youth in achieving housing stability, sustainable employment, and educational achievement.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide clinical leadership and coaching to support each youth in achieving their goals.
  • Provide crisis intervention and counseling as needed to support youth in times of crisis.
  • Document all interactions and progress with youth in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum four years of experience working in a child welfare social services setting or with transition age youth with complex presentations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
  • Ability to pass a Community Care Licensing background check.
  • Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation.
