Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Public Area Attendant to join our team at Azul Hospitality.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of public areas, including floors, hallways, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and fitness center. This includes:

  • Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures
  • Vacuuming and mopping floors
  • Sweeping and shampooing carpets
  • Washing windows
  • Emptying carts of soiled linens
  • Cleaning and waxing floors
  • Removing and disposing of trash, insects, and debris

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Performing deep cleaning tasks and special projects
  • Cleaning public restrooms and ensuring maintenance throughout the shift
  • Supplying own cleaning cart with appropriate supplies for shift
  • Dusting furniture and fixtures
  • Polishing metalwork and furniture
  • Vacuuming floors
  • Removing and disposing of trash
  • Cleaning outside areas, including porte cochere and other arrival areas
  • Ensuring staff member break areas and administrative offices are clean and well maintained
  • Ensuring work areas are clean when finished
  • Being knowledgeable about the hotel and answering guest inquiries and requests
  • Assisting in delivering guest requests and in cleaning guest rooms, as needed

This is a dynamic role that requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in housekeeping or a related field.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior hotel experience preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and push/pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs
  • Excellent customer relations skills and ability to work effectively with guests and colleagues

Estimated salary: $35,000 - $45,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
