Key Responsibilities- Deliver and assess response to ordered therapy per plan of care, monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition as appropriate.
- Evaluate respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices.
- Respond to codes and calls for emergent assistance, assessing patient condition and delivering appropriate treatment utilizing appropriate protocols.
- Educate the patient and family about the patient's illness and provide information about community resources.
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- State licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
- ACLS within 1 year of hire.
- NRP within 6 months of hire.
