Nurse Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Thoracic Program and Transplant Clinic Manager to join our state-of-the-art Comprehensive Transplant Center at UVA Health. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless care for our adult and pediatric transplant patients.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and support the day-to-day operations of assigned patient care areas, including supervising nurses and support staff.
- Oversee the preparation of schedules and adjust according to patient flow, ensuring accurate forecasting and budget management.
- Develop programs to address continuous quality improvement, system enhancement, and streamlined processes, prioritizing patient experience and overall nurse performance.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and provide the highest quality nursing care to patients and their families.
- Promote integration of multidisciplinary work groups, manage recruitment, performance, team member engagement, and retention activities of assigned staff.

Requirements- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing program, Master's degree in a related field within 5 years of hire.
- At least 3 years of progressively more responsible experience as a registered nurse in a patient care environment required.
- License to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
- Master's Degree
- Previous experience in transplant services or a related healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.
