We are seeking a highly skilled Cytogenetic Education Specialist to join our team at KA Recruiting Inc.

Job Summary

The Cytogenetic Education Specialist will be responsible for providing education and support to the laboratory, including students completing clinical rotations and laboratory teammates. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cytogenetics and experience in teaching and training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform sample set up, harvesting, slide preparation and staining, microscopic analysis, photography, karyotyping, and FISH analysis.
  • Provide education and support to the laboratory, including students completing clinical rotations and laboratory teammates.
  • Collaborate with system lab leaders, program chairs, and laboratory staff to create educational curriculum.
  • Assure the integrity of specimens during all phases of specimen processing.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in biology or a related field.
  • At least two years of prior experience in a laboratory setting as a Cytogenetic Technician.
  • Must be ASCP (CG) certified.
  • Teaching experience preferred.
