Position Title: Assistant Coach for Women's Basketball
- Facilitate key operational tasks for the Women's Basketball program in accordance with the college's principles and under the direction of the Head Coach.
- Serve as a role model for student athletes, encouraging personal and team development, supporting academic achievements, and fostering positive social relationships.
- Participate in team enhancement activities such as recruiting athletes, conditioning programs, and tracking academic performance.
- Oversee team practices, provide strategic coaching during competitions, and demonstrate exemplary sportsmanship and interpersonal skills.
- Assist in the recruitment of student athletes by assessing potential candidates, engaging in recruitment events, and managing student records.
- Contribute to athletic promotion and fundraising efforts.
- Ensure adherence to all college, conference, and NCAA regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in physical education, recreation, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in coaching at the high school or collegiate level, ideally with a background in collegiate athletics, or a relevant combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of collegiate athletic programs and proven expertise in team sports.
- Strong teaching and coaching skills, along with effective communication abilities to engage with students, parents, coaches, and other college staff.
