Position Summary

Are you a former law enforcement officer, military personnel, or a recent graduate from a police academy seeking a rewarding part-time opportunity?

This position offers flexible hours based on event schedules, with a competitive pay rate of $25.00 per hour.

The Event Security Response Officer will be responsible for providing rapid response teams at various client venues during events. Depending on the location and specific deployment, duties may involve patrolling on foot, by bicycle, or using a motorized vehicle. The officer will respond to incidents reported from the command post or observed directly, supporting existing security staff and law enforcement as needed. Responsibilities may include writing reports, participating in eviction procedures, and preventing criminal activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct security patrols in designated areas during events, either on foot or in a vehicle.
  • Monitor for any unusual or irregular conditions that may pose security risks.
  • Alert authorities in case of emergencies, such as fires or unauthorized individuals.
  • Address rule violations by patrons, including disruptive behavior or prohibited items.
  • Control access to restricted areas and supervise entry and exit points.
  • Observe individuals leaving the venue to prevent theft and ensure compliance with property removal policies.
  • Respond to incidents as directed by clients, management, or law enforcement.
  • Request assistance from law enforcement when necessary and provide support as required.
  • Investigate incidents and prepare detailed reports, maintaining logs as mandated by clients and company policy.
  • Assist customers, employees, and visitors with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Make emergency notifications as needed according to site protocols.
  • Provide recommendations to management regarding safety and productivity improvements.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Licensing requirements may vary based on state and local regulations.
  • Must meet one or more of the following criteria:
    • Service in any branch of the military, ideally in law enforcement or security roles.
    • Active or retired law enforcement officer status, including police, sheriff, federal agents, or corrections officers.
    • Graduation from a certified public safety academy or relevant experience in law enforcement or emergency response.
    • POST certification or a degree in law enforcement or criminal justice.
  • Ability to operate communication equipment effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Prior training in conflict de-escalation and critical thinking.
  • Attention to detail and ability to assess situations accurately.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient in computer skills.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
  • First aid certification is desirable.
