Aviation Security Officers play a crucial role in safeguarding our nation's air transportation system. Our officers are dedicated to fulfilling our mission to be the most trusted aviation security provider in the United States, ensuring the safety and security of the airports they oversee.

Key Responsibilities:

Aviation Security Officers may be tasked with various essential duties at the airport, including but not limited to:
  • Regulating access to restricted airport areas, permitting entry only to authorized personnel.
  • Screening and documenting vehicles entering restricted zones.
  • Conducting inspections of vehicles at perimeter access points to secured airport areas.
  • Performing inspections of employees and visually checking belongings.
  • Patrolling airport grounds as assigned.
  • Issuing temporary vehicle access credentials.
  • Monitoring airfield permits.
  • Responding to incidents and emergencies.
  • Providing security presence and access control for Federal Inspection Stations.
  • Assisting passengers as needed.
Additional Duties:
  • Documenting incidents or occurrences involving customer complaints, safety/security issues, or operational concerns.
  • Reporting safety issues, security breaches, and unusual situations both verbally and in writing.
  • Addressing security matters or emergencies effectively.
  • Engaging in security and safety training programs to enhance career advancement opportunities.
  • Participating in specialized training programs to ensure our clients receive the best-trained officers at their airports.
  • Meeting all applicable state, county, and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Aviation Security Officers.
  • Familiarizing oneself with airport-specific operational manuals and post orders.
Position Requirements:

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Preferred candidates will have at least two (2) years of verifiable experience in contract security, military, or law enforcement.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are necessary for certain positions.
  • Must successfully pass a Security Threat Assessment conducted by the Transportation Security Administration.
  • Must successfully pass a Criminal History Record Check as mandated by the Transportation Security Administration.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English, with effective communication skills for public interaction and report writing.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance to avoid unpredictable tardiness.
  • Commitment to providing quality customer service.
  • Capability to manage typical and crisis situations efficiently at the client site.
  • Physically capable of standing or walking for an entire shift and able to lift a 25lb fire extinguisher, assist with lifting children or individuals with disabilities.
