Job Summary

The Production Control Specialist is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the production process to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. This role involves planning, scheduling, and monitoring production activities, managing inventory levels, and collaborating with various departments to resolve production issues and improve overall efficiency.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning and Scheduling
  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize production efficiency.
  • Coordinate with production, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and resources.
  • Adjust production schedules as needed based on changes in demand, equipment availability, and other factors.
Inventory Management
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and reduce costs.
  • Manage supply chain and delivery schedule.
  • Forecast procurement needs based on production schedules, inventory levels, and market trends.
  • Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to understand and fulfill procurement requirements.
  • Resolve issues related to order discrepancies, delays, or quality concerns.
Quality Control
  • Ensure that production processes comply with quality standards and regulations.
  • Monitor production activities to identify and address quality issues.
  • Work with quality assurance teams to develop and implement corrective actions.
Process Improvement
  • Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost.
  • Implement process improvement initiatives and track their effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement best practices.
Communication and Coordination
  • Serve as a liaison between production, engineering, sales, and other departments.
  • Provide regular updates on production status, potential delays, and other critical issues.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve supply chain issues.
Requirements
  • Excellent and proven personnel management skills.
  • Effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • May occasionally be required to lift or move materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and practices is a plus.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
  • Over than 3 years of experience in production control, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Experience with production planning software and inventory management systems.
