Position Overview:
We are in search of a meticulous and client-oriented Staff Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing bank reconciliations, managing month-end closing activities, and directly engaging with clients. Experience with non-profit entities is advantageous but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct precise and timely bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and record journal entries to uphold the general ledger.
  • Oversee and implement month-end closing processes.
  • Generate financial statements and reports for clients.
  • Effectively communicate with clients to collect necessary information and provide financial assistance.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations.
  • Assist with tax preparation and filing during the tax season.
  • Support non-profit clients with grant accounting and compliance (preferred but not required).
  • Collaborate with colleagues on various accounting projects.
  • Assist with additional accounting and administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, ideally within a CPA firm.
  • Strong grasp of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience in non-profit accounting is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Client-facing experience with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
