Job Summary:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in the care and support of individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and injections as prescribed by a physician

• Perform tube feedings and hang IVs as needed

• Collect blood samples and provide colostomy care under the supervision of a registered nurse

• Observe patients and report changes in their condition to the healthcare team

• Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure

• Obtain specimens for analysis and perform other medical procedures as ordered by a physician

• Prepare and apply simple dressings as needed

• Provide personal care and support to individuals with disabilities, including bathing, feeding, and lifting and moving patients

Requirements:

• Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State

• At least 1 year of current experience working in a long-term care or hospital setting

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable

• Strong organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and follow-up skills
