About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Architectural Designer to join our team at Stantec. As a key member of our Water project delivery practice, you will be responsible for delivering architecture and environmental design project design solutions, including developing elevations, sections, 3D renderings, and architectural details for projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver projects on small to large size projects, ensuring successful project delivery to clients.
  • Plan, organize, and perform work throughout the life of the project, keeping the Project Manager and Discipline Lead informed of progress.
  • Assist clients and project teams to ensure project design meets client budget, schedule, program, and design intent.
  • Participate in project coordination and owner/site meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner, and contractor.
  • Utilize BIM technologies in development of three-dimensional models of buildings and their components.
Requirements
  • Capable of simultaneously supporting one or more projects at a time.
  • Thorough understanding of accessibility codes, life-safety codes, building construction systems, means and methods, materials, and industry-associated standards.
  • Takes direction well, however proactively takes appropriate action without requiring continued direction.
  • Effectively manages multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Team player with the client, entire project team, and contractor.
Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field; Registered Architect or ability to become registered in two years. Minimum of 3 years of experience.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
