About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Architect to join our team at the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services. As an Architect, you will play a critical role in the design and development of complex projects, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and prepare architectural design work, including developing program requirements, plan layouts, and complete working drawings.
  • Prepare and participate in the preparation of feasibility studies and reports.
  • Conduct field investigations to obtain data, measurements, and information needed to draft or design detail for alteration or new construction projects.
  • Provide information or give instructions regarding unique features of particular projects, code requirements, or County architectural standards.
  • Review the progress of all assigned projects to ensure that the architect, engineer, telecommunications, and landscape architecture sections are working on schedule and within budgetary and fee limitations.
Requirements
  • A California license to practice architecture, issued by the California Architects Board.
  • One (1) year of architectural experience, with experience gained as a licensed architect in the state of California.
  • Valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
Desirable Qualification

Experience in the design of healthcare facilities.
