Job Summary

A Medical Assistant/LPN is a vital member of the patient-centered healthcare team at Froedtert Health. This role involves pre-visit planning, standard rooming responsibilities, assisting with procedures, and discharge instructions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collaborating with providers to ensure a seamless patient experience.

Responsibilities
  • Pre-visit planning and preparation
  • Standard rooming responsibilities, including vital signs and medical history
  • Assisting with procedures and treatments
  • Discharge instructions and patient education
  • Collaboration with providers to ensure a smooth patient experience
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • One to two years of clinical experience, preferably in a medical assistant or LPN role
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent within 90 days of hire
  • Meet one of the following combinations of education and experience:
    • A graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES-accredited Medical Assistant Program (Associate, Diploma, or Certificate)
    • A graduate of a non-CAAHEP or ABHES Medical Assistant program (Associate, Diploma, or Certificate) or Military Medic/Corpsman training
    • Currently possess and are in good standing with at least one of the following credentials: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - AAMA, Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - AMT, Assessment-Based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) - NHA
  • LPN qualifications: one to two years of related clinical experience, graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing, and current LPN licensure by the state of Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing
