We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Peer Support Specialist to join our team at Recovery Solutions. As a Peer Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in fostering a therapeutic atmosphere for patients by engaging with them and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct individual and small group meetings with patients to monitor their mental health progress and address their needs.
- Assist patients during the admission process, ensuring they understand their rights and available services, and collect acknowledgment forms for their clinical records.
- Conduct patient satisfaction surveys and confidential interviews to assess the level of contentment with treatment and services received.
- Handle patient complaints, documenting details and following up on actions taken to address their concerns.
- Facilitate peer support activities, support groups, and present discussions on life management skills and discharge preparation in coordination with treatment teams.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Experiential understanding of mental illness.
- Licenses/Certifications: Eligible to be certified as a Peer Support Specialist preferred.
