Job Overview

Compensation: $20/hour + $1.50/hour for 2nd and 3rd Shift Premium

Job Type: Full-Time/Direct Hire with Benefits. This is not a Temporary Assignment.

Available Shifts:

  • 2nd Shift: 3pm-11:30pm
  • 3rd Shift: 11pm-7:30am or 7pm-7am

Overtime: Mandatory

Additional Compensation: A $750 signing bonus is available after meeting 90 and 180 day requirements. Opportunities for increased hourly pay after approximately 6 and 12 months of employment.

Position Summary

U.S. Engine Valve is seeking skilled Machine Operators (also known as Product Technicians) to engage in our machining operations. These positions focus on operating automated machinery and ensuring the quality of parts produced, as well as performing necessary tool and material changes at designated intervals.

These roles require active involvement beyond simple operation, with a training period of at least 6 weeks, extending as needed. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with mandatory overtime on weekends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and maintain production machinery for precise operations including shearing, friction welding, heat treating, grinding, turning, and drilling.
  • Operate production equipment safely and according to established guidelines.
  • Perform equipment set-ups and light maintenance, troubleshooting as necessary.
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate oil and coolant levels in machinery.
  • Adjust machines, tooling, and wheels to ensure products meet specified tolerances.
  • Accurately complete production documentation, including first piece approvals and scrap tickets.
  • Utilize specified gauges to verify product tolerances.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Preferred: Minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing or machining.
  • Knowledge of machining operations such as shearing, friction welding, heat treating, grinding, turning, and drilling.
  • Ability to set up, operate, and maintain production machinery effectively.
  • Familiarity with close tolerance operations and troubleshooting equipment.
  • Experience in maintaining proper oil and coolant levels for machinery.
  • Proficient in completing production documentation accurately.
  • Availability for Monday through Friday work schedule with mandatory weekend overtime.
