Job Overview

Position Summary
Responsible for the daily oversight of PeopleSoft, while evaluating, analyzing, and defining user requirements for the PeopleSoft financial system. The systems are organized by line of business (LOB): Materials Management, Grant & Fund Accounting, and Finance. Key duties include (1) translating business requirements into design specifications for development, (2) investigating inconsistencies and/or challenges and proposing solutions, (3) generating queries and/or reports, (4) executing testing procedures, and (5) aiding in the development of training materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed descriptions (requirements) of user needs, program capabilities, and processes essential for the creation or modification of PeopleSoft applications.

• Evaluate and address fixes for PeopleSoft applications.

• Collaborate with Systems Analysts to design and implement test plans; this includes processes, panels, and reports.

• Review new PeopleSoft modules and third-party applications.

• Work closely with fellow PeopleSoft business analysts in Materials Management, Finance, and Grant & Fund Accounting.

• Facilitate initial user acceptance testing of LOB modules and manage the final user acceptance process.

Qualifications

Education
A Bachelor's Degree is required.

Experience
A minimum of 5 years' experience in managing Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP):

  • Strong understanding of PeopleSoft 8.4.
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle, focusing on requirements definition, testing, and implementation.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for business correspondence and group presentations.
