Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Driver to join our team at Lake Tahoe Community College. As a Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting students, staff, and faculty to and from various destinations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a multi-passenger van, bus, or its equivalent in size/load capacity over a prescribed route(s) to transport persons to and from specific destinations.
  • Plan necessary route(s) and stops as needed, adhering to arrival and departure times.
  • Operate all equipment in a legal, safe manner, free of impairment due to drug and/or alcohol use.
  • Arrive at destinations on schedule and fulfill administrative needs, such as office pickups.
  • Research and plan for traffic, construction, and weather delays, using navigation applications to determine the best route.
  • Interact with clients professionally at all times and ensure the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use.
  • Arrange for vehicle repairs as needed and keep mileage records and repair records up-to-date.
Requirements
  • Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school, experience driving students, staff, faculty, or the public.
  • CDL Class B Driver's License and Passenger endorsement.
  • Minimum 3 references.
