Job Title: Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

UCHealth is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at UCH Memorial Hospital Central. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations using various modalities, including 2D, 3D, and Doppler imaging.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, explain procedures, and position patients for optimal imaging.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper function and safety.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and departmental efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.
  • Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or certified in Sonography (S) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • State licensure if required by law.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
