Job Summary and Qualifications

The Junior Financial Analyst assists sourcing teams and financial analysts with financial components related to sourcing initiatives. Operating under moderate supervision, this role involves providing financial evaluations pertinent to purchasing agreements. Responsibilities include organizing and preparing purchasing data for analysis, verifying the accuracy of utilization data, and ensuring its applicability for projects. The Junior Financial Analyst may also aid in tracking savings associated with new clients. This position requires both independent and collaborative efforts to deliver various savings and tracking analyses for client facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and organizing detailed purchase histories from various sources.
  • Analyzing vendor and customer purchase histories.
  • Identifying and rectifying data discrepancies.
  • Summarizing data collected through the Requests for Information (RFI) process.
  • Understanding methodologies for conducting financial and opportunity analyses of proposals.
  • Effectively communicating findings to the finance team lead.
  • Reviewing price fairness of contract modifications for product additions and substitutions.
  • Preparing RFI and/or Request for Proposal (RFP) documents.
  • Handling ad hoc requests from management.
  • Engaging daily with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Welcoming feedback and striving for performance improvement.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong financial analysis skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Organizational skills are necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or accounting.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience or a recent graduate with the aforementioned degree.
