We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Mercy Surgery Center in Springfield, MO. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians and office staff with various duties, including clerical processing, patient preparation, scheduling, lab, x-ray, and medical records.
- Perform patient care activities consistent with established nursing standards.
- Carry out responsibilities and integrate the Mercy Philosophy into daily work, demonstrating respect for human life and dignity.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, visitors, and employees, maintaining a caring, friendly, and professional approach.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must obtain BLS Certification within 90 days of hire.
- Preferred experience: 6 months of clinical healthcare experience.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification/registration (RMA, CCMA) is preferred.
