LPN- OB/GYN Clinic Nurse

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct nursing care to patients in the OB/GYN department under the supervision of a registered nurse or other provider. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of OB/GYN experience and a strong clinical knowledge in providing care for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or other provider.
Report patient response to care to registered nurse or other provider for evaluation, intervention, and modification of the plan of care.
Ensure documentation of care is complete and accurate.
Obtain detailed patient medical histories.
Collect telephone information for consultation with provider.
Perform basic wound care and dressing changes.
Notify patients of normal lab results and provider instructions for follow-up care.
Administer medications and injections under the direction of the physician or APP.
Requirements:
Associate's Degree in Practical Nursing or Certificate in Practical Nursing.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Illinois upon hire and Basic Life Support (BLS) (AHA) within 30 days.
