Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Technician III to join our team at Cayuse Holdings. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for managing and supporting a wide range of operating systems, including specialized software such as GIS and AutoCAD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform system administration for specific operating systems within your area of responsibility, including patching, upgrading, and enhancing software as approved by the customer.
  • Apply security and administrative controls to services and systems, ensuring the integrity and availability of our IT infrastructure.
  • Monitor server applications for availability, latency, and gateway queuing, and provide setup and configuration solutions for Windows Server and domain controllers.
  • Provide desktop computer support for general office software, specialized software, educational software, and software used by supported bureaus.
  • Mentor and support junior System Administrators, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Support experience with Microsoft operating systems, including installation and troubleshooting hardware and software.
  • Working knowledge of general office software, such as Microsoft Office and Google mail.
  • Ability to support specialized software, such as GIS and AutoCAD, and software unique to Indian Affairs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate in a professional and articulate manner to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with high-level attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, with changing priorities, and adapt to change and new information.
  • Self-motivated and able to work well independently, as well as on a multi-functional team, handling sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
Working Conditions
  • Professional office environment, with the ability to work varying schedules and extended hours to meet business needs and project deadlines.
  • May be required to travel for business or professional development purposes.
