Job Description

We are seeking an Industrial Food Recovery Specialist to play a pivotal role in the food analysis and recovery process. As a key member of our team, you will execute various activities including preparing, batching, cleaning, light maintenance, and other key operational duties under the direction of the Lead Technician.

The successful candidate will work in Analytics, Modular, and complete RNG facilities utilizing cutting-edge technology to solve the food waste crisis.

Shift Available: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Sun-Thur

This position requires a clear mind and diligence as it is a safety-sensitive position. The employee has the responsibility for his/her safety as well as the safety of others.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a forklift to unload trucks and load unsold food into the processing equipment
  • Operation of hand pallet jacks
  • Execute tasks including inspection, breakdown, cleaning, and stacking of organic material bins
  • General operation of plant equipment through HMIs
  • Monitor KPIs of the processing equipment through observation and the HMI
  • Complete Preventative Maintenance activities and some maintenance activities, recording entries into the computerized maintenance tracking system
  • Track and record machine uptimes and overall performance against targets
  • Participate in shift handoff meetings and daily planning meetings as instructed
  • Escalate any concerns regarding equipment and/or processes to Lead Technician and management in real time
  • Additional duties as assigned

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform the essential functions and meet the physical requirements, including but not limited to frequently requiring the ability to drive a forklift, sit; hear or talk; use close vision; use hands to grasp, handle or feel objects; and type and manipulate controls.

Physical Requirements:
  • Lift, push, pull, carry up to 50 lbs. frequently
  • Bend, stand, walk, sit, kneel frequently
  • Comfortable transitioning on and off a forklift handling multiple tasks throughout a shift
  • Able to handle potential changes in temperature on site, humidity, and wetness in working areas
What We're Looking For:
  • HS Diploma or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required
  • 2-year Technical Degree, Associate's degree, or Military background preferred
  • Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment required
  • 6-12 months Maintenance, Industrial Maintenance, or Auto Mechanic experience preferred
  • 1-3 years in a Leadership role preferred
  • Experience in or certified to operating a forklift preferred
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication in English
  • Basic computer proficiency and mathematical skills
  • Willing to work overtime
