Role Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

  • Oversee the onboarding process and provide ongoing technical assistance for complex projects aimed at automating the receipt of electronic orders and the transmission of electronic results.
  • Conduct initial evaluations of new data sources, assisting clients and project managers in estimating our efforts and refining project scopes to clarify requirements and tasks.
  • Lead the development, testing, and support of networking and interoperability solutions between Myriad Genetics and external healthcare providers.
  • Utilize core programming concepts and tools, including source control and development environment management, to ensure seamless code integration and deployment.
  • Act as a technical leader, advocating for best practices and enhancements in interface implementations and data transformations.
  • Provide training and continuous technical support to team members with non-technical backgrounds.
  • Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, to navigate challenging client interactions with professionalism.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for projects to facilitate smooth transitions to our support teams.

Qualifications
To be successful in this position, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Expertise in HL7 (V2.x) and the ability to interpret specifications for other industry standards such as HL7 v3 (C-CDA), FHIR (r4), IHE ITI, or EDI X12 (Claims).
  • Proficiency in Mirth, including JavaScript or other common interface engines, with the capability to lead efforts in administering, setting up, maintaining, and automating interfaces.
  • A solid understanding of network protocols and connectivity types, with the ability to design secure interoperability solutions.
  • Intermediate SQL skills, comfortable with writing complex queries for reporting purposes.
  • Fundamental knowledge of software engineering principles for web-based and cloud applications.
  • Experience in investigating and troubleshooting production issues across multiple platforms.
  • Familiarity with Python and software development practices is a plus.
  • Exposure to Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) concepts and processes.
  • Active Advanced Mirth Certification is preferred.
