Job Title: Senior Automation Engineer

At Champion Technology Services, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer to lead our automation efforts and ensure the successful completion of company and client objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, development, installation, and fulfillment of automation systems and processes.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and provide solutions for technical problems and team members.
  • Manage technical-related tasks with internal team members and lead project tasks in design, development, testing, installation, commissioning, project closure, and inspections/reporting.
  • Interface with clients/vendors on project technical requirements and lead overall compliance and quality of projects.
  • Responsible for delivery of all project tasks within allotted project budget and contribute to project scope and budget development.
  • Provide project-level consultancy and client service and lead the following project tasks: Project Kickoff, System Design/Procurement, Programming/Configuration, FAT, SAT/Commissioning, Close-out Documentation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and preferred 5 years of Automation or Controls related experience.
  • Experience should include a minimum of 2 years of leading automation tasks within a team.
  • Technical Expert of multiple automation system platforms including DCS, PLC, HMI, SCADA, and other applicable systems.
  • Experience in implementing solutions based on industry standards (ISA, NFPA, NEC).
  • Ability to obtain ISA Certified Automation Professional (CAP) certification.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation with valid liability insurance.
  • Fluent in verbal and written English.
  • Available for after-hour, weekend, and holidays and available for overnight and extended travel.
