Position Overview

JOB TITLE: TEAM LEADER - CASEY HOUSE

PROGRAM: Casey House

STATUS: Full-Time, 35 hours per week

FLSA DESIGNATION: Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO: Residential Manager

EDUCATION: High School Diploma with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience or an Associate's Degree

EXPERIENCE: Preferred experience working with at-risk youth in a residential environment; supervisory experience is highly desirable.

SALARY: $16.70 per hour

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Team Leader at Casey House plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe, secure, and efficient atmosphere for the youth residing in the Casey House Runaway and Homeless Youth Shelter. This position promotes positive youth development while embodying the mission and services of Pinnacle Community Services, Inc. (PCS).

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Flexible working hours
  • Availability for 4 weeknights and 1 weekend shift; subject to change based on program needs
  • Annual physical examination

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Ability to function effectively in crisis situations
  • Strong interpersonal skills with adolescents
  • Capability to supervise and lead a team of staff

EXPECTATIONS:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the program, mission, and services of PCS.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures of PCS and comply with legal requirements.
  • Participate in relevant agency staff training and meetings.
  • Advocate for cultural diversity and sensitivity.
  • Report any suspected incidents of child abuse or neglect.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and communication technologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all youth.
  • Handle incoming calls, assess crisis situations, and respond appropriately.
  • Conduct thorough intakes and maintain confidentiality of client information.
  • Orient youth to residential procedures and guidelines.
  • Maintain punctuality and consistency in scheduled shifts.
  • Complete daily logs and documentation as required.
  • Report maintenance needs to ensure a safe environment.
  • Monitor the safety and whereabouts of all youth at all times.
  • Assist with meal preparation and planning.
  • Support the Residential Manager in scheduling and staff training.
  • Provide on-call availability and emergency coverage as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
