Job Summary:

The Catholic Health System is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Sisters of Charity Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide daily nursing care to patients following established policies, procedures, and standards of practice. You will coordinate patient care through assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluation. You will participate in patient and family teaching, provide leadership by working cooperatively with healthcare team members, and maintain standards for professional practice in the clinical setting. You will also support high-quality care through participation and implementation of quality initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care
  • Participate in patient and family teaching
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited Registered Professional Nursing Program
  • BSN preferred
  • Current New York State Registration as a professional registered nurse
  • Current BLS validation
  • Previous RN experience preferred

Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The nurse must be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. The nurse must also be able to adapt to changing situations and prioritize tasks accordingly.
