Job Summary:

SHP is seeking a highly motivated Plumbing Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our MEP team, you will be responsible for developing design solutions for our projects and clients, with a focus on plumbing, fire protection, and water distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the MEP team to develop design options for our projects and clients.
  • Design and schedule plumbing system components, including fixtures for new building and remodel construction projects.
  • Assist with field work on facility assessments and audits.
  • Prepare construction and permit drawings and specifications.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other team members, including engineers, architects, and interior designers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
  • 2-4 years of experience directly related to designing building systems, including plumbing and fire protection.
  • Strong computer skills utilizing Revit and/or BIM.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
