This individual will be responsible for directing and supervising warehouse personnel, ensuring efficient and cost-effective shipping and receiving processes.
Key Responsibilities- Warehouse Operations Management: Direct the day-to-day activities of the warehouse, including shipping, receiving, maintenance, inventory control, and storage management.
- Personnel Supervision: Supervise warehouse specialists, order pickers, and forklift operators, providing guidance and support to ensure effective team performance.
- Inventory Management: Responsible for the maintenance of warehouse inventory, including storage, rotation, and inspection of products.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that warehouse equipment is safe, efficient, and well-maintained, providing preventive maintenance programs and communicating necessary repairs to management.
- Safety and Compliance: Oversee warehouse safety programs, ensuring a safe and clean work environment for employees and compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Training and Development: Ensure that all associates are trained and following standard operating procedures, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Disciplinary Actions: Handle progressive disciplinary actions, including counseling, oral and written warnings, and ensure a productive labor climate in the warehouse operation.
- Communication and Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments to facilitate efficient warehouse operations, handle general employee inquiries, and resolve problems.
- Reporting and Analysis: Complete necessary activity reports for management and monitor the flow of paperwork from receiving to inventory control specialist for timely data entry.
The Receiving Operations Manager will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, frequently exposed to moderate to noisy conditions. The employee will be required to stand, walk, reach, climb, and balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
