Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in Homer, Alaska. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to expectant mothers and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide primary patient care and supervision to other care team providers
  • Utilize the nursing process to plan and provide total, direct patient care to patients on the nursing unit
  • Float to Acute Care as needed
  • Support and role-model our organization's values and behaviors while working as a collaborative and inter-disciplinary team member
Requirements
  • Current Alaska nursing license to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Alaska
  • Speaking, listening, and basic writing skills to communicate with others and document care given
  • Numerical ability to calculate drug dosages
  • Preferred 1 year of OB specialty experience (including postpartum couplet care)
Certifications
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • NRP
  • AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Heart Rate certification
  • STABLE certification within 6 months of hire
