Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Walgreens. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting our pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, ensuring accurate and efficient dispensing of medications, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including counting, measuring, and labeling.
  • Process prescriptions, including verifying patient information, checking for potential interactions, and ensuring accurate dosing.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including patient information, medication lists, and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, including inventory management, ordering, and receiving.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on pharmacy practices, laws, and regulations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; PTCB or ExCPT certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy in counting, measuring, and labeling medications.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
